“Left Of SoSo” is a captivating take from the new LP “Honeymoon Phase” by West LA-based quartet Maffa Rico, led by Bradley Giroux. Inspired by Wilco's “Spiders (Kidsmoke)” and also reminding of Bowie's Berlin era, the track sounds hazy and at the same time maintains an excellent groove with an art-pop flavor. Retaining the iconic Liebezeit/Dinger-esque motorik beat approach, the band adds a guitar work on top of it with intriguing tones, lurking and funky. The vocal brings more soaring vibes together with the loungey vibraphone/keys and saxophone heat.
