Nashville artist Griffin Winton shared a new album, “Best All-Around Boy,” listen to this intriguing number off of it. “Cutthroat” is mathy-bluesy southern rock with scalding guitars and banging drums. The riffs twist over the confident and dislocated rhythms, striking out thousands of sparks. Winton's vocal adds a raw expression, and towards the middle the track transforms into a tasty heavy psych trip. Describing the atmosphere, the musician says it “puts listeners in the driver's seat of Music City malevolence.”
