Calgary-based outfit Wants presented an exciting interpretation of the 1981 urban decay-themed track by UK ska punks The Specials. With its pessimistic-satirical reggae mood, the original “Ghost Town” turns into striking, synth-driven goth neon punk, as if it came out in the later years of the same ‘80s era. The keys actively wriggle over the throbbing rhythms, the guitars give the track more expressive depth, while the vocal takes on the most authentic mask. The song will be included on the band's debut LP, “In Plain Sight,” which is set for release on November 14.
