US singer-songwriter Teghan Devon unveiled a dark yet airy new composition. “Shadow” is emotional, unhurried folky alt/indie rock with nostalgic, ‘80s/‘90s-tinged melodicism. The unstrained guitar strumming flickers over the measured tempo, while Devon elevates her breezy and gentle vocal to the most poignant level. She describes this song as a “reflection, realizing that the person you trusted when you were at rock bottom wasn't who you thought they were and they took advantage of you at your lowest.”
