Draumir, a Norwegian duo, has shared an intriguing new single from their future 3rd LP.
“The Breeze” starts with evenly swinging, slightly jazz-toned, atmospheric folk. The vocal, along with the piano, steel guitar, and plush bass, sound soothing and clean. But the initial melodies, that have a seasoned, nostalgic incline, surprisingly develop into exciting, murky post-rock. The fade-out end of the track leaves a certain symbolic and questioning feeling.
