A mysterious, hallucinogenic, jazzy voyage through foreboding pastoral landscapes awaits you in “Slizards.” The opening act slowly pulls you in with the contrabass hypno-pulse, accompanied by the grinning chords of the resonator guitar, heady vibraphone waves and tense, short trombone drones. It might feel like Pelt playing with Sun Ra inside the Black Lodge.
