“darkside” is hypnotic ambient pop. The initial guide-like synth is lulling and enigmatic, reminding of the flight of a firefly. laur’s seiyu-esque, elfin soprano sounds smooth and intimate, growing into an immersive audio-visual poetry. The track also contains a pleasant low vibration and unostentatious percussion. At 3:05, something like zen folk looms with an enthralling wind chime. Fragile, nocturnal, incredible.
