Melbourne outfit Search Committee have released their remarkable new track, exploring the topic of hopelessness of office life.
“Reality Check” is a versatile junction of indie rock, synthpop and pop rock. Biting, stadium-like drum patterns, mellow bass vibrations, funky guitar notches plus atmospheric solo at 02:08, and retro-futuristic synth digitalization. All components keep the whole instrumental part in a constantly enthralling condition. The vocal performance seems to have a touch of Julian Casablancas covering Tears For Fears, and it feels like drowning in beautiful melodic depth.
