Los Angeles vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Julia Laws, alias Ronboy, presents one of the sonic highlights of her debut album “Pity To Love.”
The riveting composition “Oceans Of Emotion” shows a great dynamic perspective of the combination of indie rock and post-industrial. The hard drums and driving, slidey bassism meet in the fields of noisy, futuristic inclusions. Ronboy’s vox start with catchy self-interruptions and then enrich the performance with a reverberating spell. By the half of the second minute, “Oceans Of Emotion” deceptively quiets down and grows again, all while capturing the ear's attention. Talking about the video incarnation of this track, Laws mentions:
“Each character, while unrelated to one another, are all confronted with being a witness to the arc of life.”
