Olma - Worth The Stillness

Grotesqualizer

Capture beautiful waves from a part of the latest album “Whisper Poems” by Olma, an experimental project of Minnesota composer and producer Chris Bartels.

“Worth The Stillness” is a hypnotic two-minute ambient dive. Airy infinity absorbs and transforms the apathetically soothing vibration of acoustic guitar strings. This is like the sonic equivalent of cloud movement. Reminding of the ‘90s/‘00s US space rock revival/post-rock scene, in particular bands like Landing or Windy & Carl, while also bringing to mind Roy Montgomery’s works and The Alps’ drone folk, Olma bypasses the usual melodic perception, engraining an unclear, piercing nostalgia into fabulous far dreams.
