Here’s Leipzig, Germany trio H. C. BEHRENDTSEN’s accelerating single from their upcoming LP.
In “Kalimba,” the listener can access jazz-art-punk through the prism of “Trout Mask Replica.” At first, the band scrupulously untwists the composition like tangled threads. But by the third minute, dramatic moments appear with a ghostly taste of '70s prog and Canterbury scene. “Kalimba” is nimble, you can catch other various sapid elements - from jumpy ethno mathrock to coastal noir coda. This is a saturated experimental performance.
