Discover San Francisco rising artist Violet Basso with her enigmatic lounge charm.
The sound of “Escape” can be dubbed as Lynchian bossa nova. The tranquil guitars meet the repetitive electronic percussion, forming a hypnagogia loop where space and time are slowly distorting. Connecting with this background, Violet's cloudy vocals, which have a certain fascinating inaccessibility, give the song a pleasant, ghostly cooling. Melodically “Escape” may seem gentle, but lyrically it talks about a broken relationship and mistrust. The track unobtrusively pours in, takes possession of the mood and dissolves, leaving you in a hazy euphoria. This is the first single from Violet Basso's upcoming album “Enumaelis,” also check out the music video for it
