Kentucky 5-piece rock dealers The Ego Trippers have released their groovy new banger.
“Christmas In July” is a heated mixture of racing hard rock and tuneful Southern rock guitarism, influenced by grunge adrenaline and with a vintage touch. The uplifting, addictive riff flies forward at full speed, the mischievous bongos increase the drive of the main rhythm, and such thrust is impellent. “I’m always in the right place at the wrong time.” Vocalist/guitarist Zac Anderson explains that this line encapsulates the predominant message of the song, adding, “which I think a lot of people can relate to in one way or another.” “Christmas In July” is that energy surge that is often so lacking.
