Andi Jackson - Living Dead (Feat. Sarah Goodson)

Grotesqualizer

Manchester, UK sound experimentalist and guitarist Andi Jackson shares an exceptional composition from his second album “Sub Horror.”

“Living Dead” showcases an interesting approach inspired by kraut prog and jazz fusion seekers of the ‘70s, it’s as if Peter Brotzmann met Embryo. But the track also features London singer Sarah Goodson’s hypno-apathetic vocal lines that steer this music in an atypical way. The groove of the rich bass and drums, along with the chaotic saxophones raising tension, is reminiscent of a writhing fairytale dragon in the nacreous sky. Overall, “Living Dead” feels like a soundtrack for a hectic and unpredictable maneuver, but at the same time, the vocals suddenly slow down the action, adding some kind of visionary tone to it.
