Then the musicians deliver Southeastern Europe-esque melodies that feel like a wild ancient dance by the fire. By 1:20, Brass Lightning are back with their mighty horncore, now showcasing saxophone solo passages to Indian percussion. “Getaway” is an extraordinary and mesmerizing thing, where jazz avant-garde and traditional folk music are skillfully mixed.
