Nancy Mars - Time

Grotesqualizer

The Australia two-piece unveils their new composition.

Very distinctive and intriguing art rock is demonstrated in the song “Time.” Consisting of a few components, the splashy and cold sound steadily concentrates attention on itself. Just with bass, drums and acoustic guitar, Nancy Mars immediately achieve a gloomy magnetization, stepping over the boundaries of otherworldly post-rock by the middle of the second minute. Rebekah Chislett’s voluminous and absorbing vocals create a special vaguely bizarre aura. This is what Radiohead might sound like, if led by PJ Harvey and covering David Bowie, drifting in the darkness of space.
