Gjor Styggedom - Heavy, Dense

Grotesqualizer

The English drone priests present their addicting second single.

Sombre feedback low metal pulls out the soul on the straightforwardly titled track “Heavy, Dense.” This disturbing, hallucinogenic guitar spread works like a ritual monolith, drugging and summoning your consciousness from the depths of the midnight forest thicket. Then the slow, heavy drums and viscous vibration appear, and now, against their backdrop, this guitar spread starts to absorb you even more. This moment can be described with the words: “I sail the astral sea.” It’s important to note that the band goes their own original way, bringing not just a stoned doom distortion, but properly using the hypnotism of minimalism, playing with a sonic space, and getting these impressive pieces as a result.
