Canadian composer, lyricist and singer Andrea Cormier, formerly known as a member of
Beachglass, presents her second solo track in anticipation of her debut album release in early May.
“Sea Spells” is a touch of the magical mystery of late '60s English folk with the restrained grace of baroque folk. Andrea’s chic vocal and lyrical work pacifies, realigns and replenishes. The weightless, pouring melody reminds of Jacqui McShee and Linda Perhacs’ passages. The song seems to catch that invisible moment of a special sparkling of the last rays of the day, portending a strange feeling of light euphoria and deep connection to the quiet energy of the fundamental principle.
“I lay down and watch the sea
‘Til the sand buries me
Soft like feathers I breathe”
