Atlanta trio Slumberjack unveils the new single ahead of the release of their second album.
The beautiful melodic fiber “Tired, Open & Wild” appears with a warm guitar tone and is carried by the cool winds of narration. In this song, expressive indie rock moves toward post-rock jungle pop, basking by the folk rock fire. And from the very beginning, this is all part of the protagonist’s complex life pattern. The music lives, it runs, looks around, estimates, bumps into things, tries to slip into the light, because according to singer Andrew Kelly, this is a story about a difficult change. Slumberjack's notes are not only full of sorrow, impetuosity and nostalgia, but also of new routes and a natural, touching spirit.
