Christopher Robert Andreasen or Spaceseer, a novelist and musician from Provo, UT, released his debut album that perfectly combines experimental electronica and science fiction.

The release is called “Rooted Hate Entangles Copper Veins,” and has its own well-defined world, where the lyrics and the sound form something like a symbolic, hallucinogenic and visionary audio poem, as if James Havoc created in the Golden Age of sci-fi. “A Fistful Of Bismuth” is mad, chaotic, melting synths and sharp peaks of spear-like cymbals. It’s something like free drone improvisation or bad-trip ambient, as if Jus Oborn were avidly reading not Lovecraft, but Jeff Noon and Philip K. Dick and made an electronic project. This is a complex but exciting experience, because Spaceseer truly takes the sound synthesis and its effect seriously.
