Fear & Order - Discovery

After the debut EP, this one-man band comes back with the new single “Discovery.”

Oliver Mavilio goes his own distinctive way in such a narrow direction as lo-fi post-punk, continuing to cultivate sound hyperbole, while not letting go of the authenticity of the genre. Dismal guitars, fussy dotted bass, a distant organ used only as a faded paint, and impenetrable vocals. The well-thought-out three-minute form stumbles over every little stone of hopelessness. “It doesn't take long to discover all that is wrong” - Oliver sings, and the insight suddenly rips open the disgusting picture of bare, irrational, dead-end being. Everything that has just now been filled with at least some light suddenly appears as something completely different. Anxiety, despair and expression are the keys to the piercing music of Fear & Order.
