The band BWQ, formerly Project BWQ, shared a lovely summery song called “Animals” from the upcoming EP “Crack Up.”
Both the song and the future album ask some questions, as the band says, and in “Animals,” these questions are wrapped up in warmth of the soft indie rock sound that BWQ developed throughout the track. The vocal passages, although reminding of The Shins at times, are nevertheless performed in an original and memorable manner. Production choices are interesting to follow, and the moving guitar in the last part of the song proved a perfect complement to the arrangement. The album “Crack Up” was created in a trip to Nashville, and it’s definitely going to comprise some pleasant, cozy tunes, so don’t miss out on its release on July 26.
Nice sound!
